Eastman Johnson

President, Community Planning and Design

My name is Eastman Johnson and I am the President of Resilient Communities. I have attained my bachelor's and master's degrees in community planning with a certificate in urban design from the University of Cincinnati. While pursuing my master's degree, I was also part of the Peace Corps' Master's International program with the School of Planning. In between my two years of study I served 27-months in Tameslouht, Morocco where I was a youth and community development volunteer. During this time, I developed my thesis project, "Creative Solutions for Environmental Issues in Morocco and the Mediterranean Region." Throughout the past four years I have build a strong foundation of motivated individuals and resourceful connections at UC and in Morocco. I believe Resilient Communities has the opportunity to create sustainable infrastructure that encourages the development of an eco-economy and education to strengthen an enormous aging youth population in Morocco, creating inspiration and hope for a healthier future.
