Sustainable Washing Station in Aguerda, Morocco

The project focuses on the creation of a sustainable washing station in the village of Aguerda. It will be used by the residents of Aguerda as an alternative to doing laundry in the nearby river. The wash basins within it will have the ability to be heated so that they may be used in the colder months of the year. The water in the washing station will come from the river. After it has been used to clean laundry, it will drain to a series of filters and remediation cells. Once it has gone through all of these filters, the water will collect in a tank where it can safely be used in irrigation or returned to the river.
